Joey Bowlin started on the mound for Mason, and surrendered just one earned run on six hits with no walks and two strikeouts over four innings.
Will MacLean suffered the loss for the Comets, pitching the final four innings. He allowed two earned runs on four hits and a walk to go with three strikeouts.
It was a sloppy game defensively for both teams, with Vandalia Butler committing six errors and Mason committing five.
The Mason offense produced just four base hits on the day – all singles.
